Privacy Policy
Effective 16 October 2026. This policy explains what happens to your data when you play Spider Solitaire at https://spidersolitaire.party.
The short version
- You never need an account, and the game asks for no personal information.
- Your game progress and settings are saved only in your own browser.
- The game is free and funded by ads from Google AdSense. In the EU, the UK and Switzerland, ad cookies are only used after you give consent, and you can change your choice at any time.
Data stored on your device
To let you continue a game later, the game uses your browser's local storage to keep:
- your current game (card positions, score, moves and time),
- your settings (theme, sound on or off, difficulty), and
- whether you have dismissed the privacy notice.
This data is stored only on your device, is never sent to us, and is strictly necessary for the game feature you use. You can delete it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Advertising
Ads on this site are provided by Google AdSense (Google Ireland Limited for users in the EEA and Switzerland, Google LLC elsewhere). To show and measure ads, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies and process data such as your IP address, device and browser information, and your interactions with ads.
- EEA, UK and Switzerland: on your first visit a consent message lets you accept or decline personalised ads. Without consent, only limited, non-personalised ads may be shown. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
- US states with privacy laws (for example California): you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information using the link provided by Google's privacy message.
- Everyone: you can manage personalised advertising in your Google Ad Settings.
Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services and read Google's Privacy Policy.
Opens Google's consent message so you can review or withdraw your choice. It is available to visitors in regions where consent is collected.
Hosting, security and server logs
The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which protects it against attacks and abuse, and is hosted on our own servers. Like almost every website, these systems may briefly record technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and running. This data is not used to identify or profile you and is deleted after a short period. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, to object to or restrict its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Because the game itself collects no personal data, most requests relate to advertising, which you can manage directly with Google using the links above.
Children
Spider Solitaire is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
