Spider Solitaire – Free Online Card Game

Play the classic patience game in a modern, animated table. Choose 1, 2 or 4 suits, drag or tap cards to move them, and clear all eight King-to-Ace runs to win. Free, no download and no sign-up – it works on desktop, tablet and phone.

How to play Spider Solitaire

  1. The deal. Two decks (104 cards) are shuffled into ten columns: 54 cards on the table with only the top card of each column face up, and 50 cards in the stock.
  2. Moving cards. Place any card on a card exactly one rank higher, of any suit – a 7 can go on any 8. A run of cards can only be moved together if it is in descending order and all the same suit.
  3. Empty columns. Any card or same-suit run can be moved into an empty column. Empty columns are your most powerful tool.
  4. Dealing. When you are stuck, click the stock to deal one new card onto every column. You can only deal when no column is empty.
  5. Completing a suit. When a column holds a full run from King down to Ace in one suit, it is removed to the foundation automatically.
  6. Winning. Complete all eight suits to clear the table and win the game.

Difficulty levels

1 suit – Beginner
Every card is a spade, so every descending sequence is a movable run. Relaxing and great for learning.
2 suits – Intermediate
Spades and hearts. You need to plan where mixed-suit sequences go so that runs can still be moved.
4 suits – Expert
All four suits. Building clean same-suit runs takes real strategy, and winning is a genuine achievement.

Frequently asked questions

Is this Spider Solitaire free to play?

Yes. It is completely free, runs in your browser and needs no download, account or sign-up.

What is the difference between 1, 2 and 4 suit Spider Solitaire?

The deck always has 104 cards. With 1 suit every card is a spade, so any descending card can join a run. With 2 suits (spades and hearts) or 4 suits, only cards of the same suit move together, which makes the game much harder.

Why can't I deal new cards?

Classic Spider rules require every column to hold at least one card before you deal a new row from the stock. Move any card into the empty column and try again.

Can I undo moves?

Yes. Undo is unlimited – press the Undo button or Z (Ctrl+Z also works). Each undo costs one point.

Does the game save my progress?

Your current game is saved automatically in your browser, so you can close the tab and continue later on the same device.

How is the score calculated?

You start with 500 points. Every move, deal or undo costs 1 point and every completed King-to-Ace suit earns 100 points.
